Skipping the Excuse Train

RUN: 2.84 mi
(32 min)

Today was the second scheduled run day for my first week of training. Would I be riding the Excuse Train? You know, the one that runs every day if you let it? I had stayed up til 1:15AM. That’s a ticket on the train. I have a lot of work to do. Step aboard! I’ll catch up tomorrow. First class seats!

Nope, I would not get on the train. I set out to do my paltry 30 minutes, which last time took 2 walk intervals, and the last 1/3 mile was walked too.

Something happened, I ran the whole 30 minutes.

Non stop.

No train.

Okay, I am in training.
