Laziness Does Not Pay

RUN: 2.5 mi
(33.10 min)

I took two rides on the excuse train this week, some of set in by the relaxed state of mind being on vacation. Instead of running Tuesday morning, I was hiking down a mountain from an overnight backpack. On Thursday… well, I traded the morning run for doing some landscape work around our cabin. Hey, that’s physical. And Friday morning, was intense, as I cut down an old dead oak tree, and spent a few hours holding a chainsaw and swinging an axe.

None of that helped much when I set out Saturday morning for an hour’s run our Fossil Creek road and back. I was doing the slow time shuffle, just about the slowest I could go an call it running. I got to my 30 minute turn around point, and was only a few hundred yards short of the turnaround last time I ran,. but I was beat.

So when my wif came riding down the road in the truck checking up on me, I humbly accepted a ride home. The slow run was not doing much.

So this week was the lowest totals during this stint. No matter what, I am not going to ride the excuse train again.
